The Indianapolis Colts will get an up-close look at several of the edge rushers who have been invited to this year’s Senior Bowl.
Kalon Humphries, who was a part of the Colts’ defensive staff in 2024, will be coaching the edge rushers for the American Team in the Senior Bowl.
This will give Humphries a live look at some of the top pass rushers in this year’s class and the opportunity to work alongside of them as well.
Below are the edge rushers that Humphries will be coaching:
Jalen McLeod, Auburn
Smael Mondon Jr., Georgia
Karene Reid, Utah
Nic Scourton, Texas A&M
Barryn Sorrell, Texas
Shemar Stewart, Texas A&M
Princely Umanmielen, Ole Miss
Of the several needs that the Colts need to prioritize addressing this offseason, edge rusher may not be at the top of the list, but it could be a sneaky need with Dayo Odeyingbo hitting free agency and Samson Ebukam a potential cut candidates.
This is also a Colts’ pass rush that ranked 22nd in pressure rate in 2024 and 26th in sacks.
Some recent draft picks by the Colts who played in the Senior Bowl include Laiatu Latu, Tanor Bortolini, JuJu Brents, Blake Freeland, Alec Pierce, Bernhard Raimann, and a number of others.
From 2023-2017, there were 26 Senior Bowl participants who were draft by Indianapolis.
