Former Indianapolis Colts’ quarterback, Andrew Luck, no longer holds the NFL record for most offensive yards by a rookie, including the playoffs.
That title now belongs to Washington Commanders’ quarterback Jayden Daniels.
Daniels surpassed Luck with his lights-out performance in the NFC Divisional round against the Detroit Lions. In that game, Daniels was 22-of-31 passing for 299 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 51 yards on 16 carries.
Daniels will enter the NFC Championship Game with 5,112 total yards this season. He finished the regular season having passed for 3,568 yards while rushing for another 891.
Luck’s record has stood since his first NFL season back in 2012. That year, which included a trip to the playoffs for the Colts, Luck finished with 4,952 total yards, according to NFL.com.
Also like Luck, Daniels is set to become the Offensive Rookie of the Year award winner as well after a very impressive first NFL season.
