– Anthony Richardson is training down in Flordia. Fully healthy this offseason, he can get to training right away. Ballard gets regular updates from Richardson’s offseason trainer.
– Ballard says the addition at quarterback this offseason will have a chance at an “open” competition with Anthony Richardson. He adds that the competition will be good for Richardson.
– “Everything’s on the table,” said Ballard about adding competition at quarterback. He adds that it will be someone who has to challenge from a production standpoint.
– “He did a lot of good things,” said Ballard about Laiatu Latu. Mentions that there is a learning curve for any rookie to navigate. “I think we’ll see him finish more as we go forward.”
– Ballard says you can learn a lot about the prospects in the meetings that take place at the NFL combine.
– “Lou’s very multiple,” said Ballard about Anarumo’s defense. “It’ll be fun to watch how he uses Latu.”
– “I think D-line is really good. I think tight end is really good,” said Ballard about this draft class. He adds the middle round offensive line position has good depth and there are some good secondary players as well.
