Left tackle Bernhard Raimann missed practice today due to a knee injury. Raimann injured his knee early on in the week 10 game against the Bills and was unable to return. Raimann missed all of last weeks practice and the week 11 game against the New York Jets. Rookie Matt Goncalves has replaced him in the lineup for most of the last three weeks and played well against difficult matchups. Raimann will be one to keep an eye on this week but him missing a walk through doesn’t bode well for his availability for Sunday.
Right tackle Braden Smith was limited at practice due to a foot injury. Smith has been struggling with a knee injury this year so it appears as thought the foot injury is a new one. Smith has managed to start every game this year despite having to deal with lingering injury issues. He will be one to keep an eye on this week also.
Defensive end Tyquan Lewis was a full participant today at practice. The Colts announced today that they had opened the 21 day practice window for Lewis to return from injured reserve. Lewis was placed on injured reserve with an elbow injury and has missed seven games while in injured reserve. Lewis is a valuable piece of the Colts defensive line rotation as he can play on the edge and interior, Lewis had 17 tackles, 1.5 sacks and 9 quarterback pressures in the four games before suffering the injury so getting him back would be a huge addition.
Wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr was a full participant at practice today despite a back injury. Pittman has been playing through a back injury for multiple weeks and has only missed one game because of it.
