Quarterback Anthony Richardson missed practice again today with back and foot injuries. Richardson missing back to back practices massively throws his availability for Sunday into doubt. However, the Colts are optimistic about Richardson playing on Sunday, saying that he has made consistent progress and is responding to treatment. But Richardson’s performance in Friday’s practice will be critical in determining his availability.
Tight end Mo Alie-Cox missed practice again today with a toe injury. Alie-Cox has been unable to practice all week and is looking very unlikely the will be able to play Sunday. If he is unable yo play expect to see a lot more of Will Mallory at tight end on Sunday.
Linebacker EJ Speed missed practice today with a knee injury. Speed has been unable to practice for over a week and a half now due to the knee injury. Speed looks set to miss his second game in a row this week.
Linebacker Jaylon Carlies was a limited participant at practice today due to a shoulder injury, after being unable to practice yesterday. Carlies managing a limited practice today is a huge boost for his availability Sunday especially with Speed heading towards being unavailable again this week.
Left guard Quenton Nelson was a limited participant at practice today with an ankle injury. Nelson was a full participant yesterday but appears to have regressed at today’s practice. The Colts have to keep a close eye on Nelson tomorrow as he is a huge part of the offensive line and the offense in general.
