The Indianapolis Colts have lost their last two games to the Houston Texans and the Minnesota Vikings, falling to 4-5 on the season, and things aren’t going to get any easier with the Buffalo Bills next up on the schedule.
The Bills are currently 7-2 on the year and riding a four-game winning streak. The game will be played at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday, and kickoff will be at 1:00 PM ET.
As I’m sure you can imagine, the Bills are the early favorites in this game. BetMGM has Buffalo at +4.5 currently. The over/under is set at 47 points and the Colts’ money line is +180, while the Bills are -225.
Through nine games, the Colts are 7-2 against the spread, good for the third best mark in the NFL. Buffalo ranks 12th at 5-4 on the year.
Following the team’s decision to bench Anthony Richardson in favor of Joe Flacco, the Indianapolis offense had an abysmal performance against the Vikings, recording season-lows in several key statistical categories in that game.
So naturally, the big question this week is, can the offense bounce back? The Bills will enter this game ranked eighth in points per game allowed at just 19.2 and rank 17th in yards per play surrendered.
Shane Steichen has already confirmed that Flacco will again get the start. Some good news for the Colts is that the defense has been trending in the right direction since the Jacksonville game.
