The Indianapolis Colts revealed their newest Ring of Honor inductee on Monday.
Owner Jim Irsay announced that the franchise will induct former tight end Dallas Clark this year. As of this writing, they haven’t set a date for his ceremony.
“A game-breaking tight end. Our all-time franchise leader in receptions and TDs for that position,” Irsay wrote. “One of the toughest men I’ve ever seen play the game. And the epitome of a Colt off the field. That’s why I’m excited to announce DALLAS CLARK as our 2024 Ring of Honor inductee.”
Clark spent nine seasons with the Colts from 2003 to 2011. Playing alongside legendary quarterback Peyton Manning, the former first-round pick registered 427 catches for 4,887 yards and 46 touchdowns.
Clark set single-season records for a Colts tight end when tallying 100 receptions and 1,106 yards as an All-Pro in 2009. He added 180 yards and a touchdown that postseason, which ended in a Super Bowl loss to the New Orleans Saints.
Three years earlier, Clark helped the Colts win their second Super Bowl title in franchise history. He cleared 100 yards in two playoff matchups, notching 137 in an AFC Championship Game triumph over the New England Patriots.
Clark is fifth in all-time receptions and seventh in touchdowns among all Colts players. He also played one season each with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Baltimore Ravens before retiring.
Manning celebrated his longtime safety valve’s recognition on Instagram.
“Congrats to my good friend Dallas Clark,” Manning wrote. “Colts 2024 Ring of Honor Inductee! Incredible player and teammate!”
