Following the Indianapolis Colts’ third-straight loss to the Buffalo Bills, cornerback Kenny Moore did not sugarcoat where things currently stand with this team.
“I don’t think everybody’s going as hard as possible and obviously it’s showing,” said Kenny Moore via ESPN’s Stephen Holder. “I’m not the type to sugarcoat it. Honestly, I don’t think the urgency is there. I don’t think the details are there. I don’t see everything correlating from meetings to practice to the games and it shows.”

Now at 4-6 on the season, it feels like the Colts are at a tipping point. As bad as things are right now, they are still in the hunt of a playoff spot. However, accomplishing that would require a 180 from where they are.
The defense has been doing its best over the last month to keep the team in the game, but the offense has provided little help in return, not to mention that in most instances, you can only contain Josh Allen for so long.
Moore didn’t specifically mention any one side of the ball but was generally speaking about the team. But anyone who has watched even a few minutes of Colts’ football over the last few weeks know that the biggest issues lie on the offensive side of the ball.
The Colts made the decision to start Joe Flacco over Anthony Richardson because, as Shane Steichen put it, he gives Indianapolis the best chance to win. But things certainly haven’t played out that way.
The Colts are now 1-3 in games that Flacco has finished this season. Over the last two weeks specifically, he is responsible for six turnovers and the offense has mustered just 26 total points–seven of which came in the final minute of Sunday’s game when Buffalo had already secured the win.
Following the loss to the Bills, at least “right now,” Steichen remains committed to Flacco at quarterback.
Awaiting the Colts in Week 11 are the New York Jets, a team who has been beatable this season, even with the talent they have on both sides of the ball. For this Colts team, they’ve reached the point in the season where it’s now or never.
“We’ve got to look ourselves in the mirror and ask ourselves how bad we want it,” added Moore.
