A new report from TMZ Sports claims Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay was found “unresponsive, cold to the touch and gasping for air” during a suspected drug overdose back in December.
According to Carmel (Ind.) police documents obtained by TMZ, authorities were sent to Irsay’s home in Carmel early in the morning on Dec. 8.
Cops were told Irsay had been found unconscious on the floor of his bathroom with “a blue skin tone.” When police arrived, the 64-year-old owner had been moved to his bed but had a weak pulse and was still experiencing breathing troubles.
“Police say in the docs an attempt to wake him with a sternum rub was unsuccessful. They added, though, that after administering one dosage of Narcan — a drug commonly used to revive people in opiate overdose situations — ‘he responded slightly,'” said TMZ.
Paramedics arrived shortly thereafter and continued treatment before taking Irsay to a local hospital.

On Jan. 9, the Colts announced that Irsay was being treated for “a severe respiratory illness” and would be unable to perform a scheduled gig with his band.
It’s not clear if that illness is related to the reported drug overdose last month.
“Mr. Irsay continues to recover from his respiratory illness,” the Colts said in a statement today. “We will have no further comment on his personal health, and we continue to ask that Jim and his family’s privacy be respected.”
We wish Irsay the best.
