By hook or by crook (or in this case several withdrawals), Indianapolis Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew is heading to the 2024 Pro Bowl Games.
Minshew went 7-6 as a starter after taking over for rookie Anthony Richardson, with 3,305 passing yards and 15 touchdowns through the air and another three on the ground.
Minshew has been a fan-favorite for the better part of five years ever since his breakout rookie season with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Pro Bowl selection is effectively the final step in what has been a long goal road for Minshew ever since his final year at Washington State.
In a photo taken by Tyson Brown before the 2018 Cougar season, Minshew is out on the field mentally preparing himself by walking through a full gameplan out on the field.
“I took this picture July 11, 2018. A day off. Gardner Minshew hadn’t won the starting job yet but was out there by himself going through a full game on air. Today he was named to the Pro Bowl. It didn’t just happen this year. It was YEARS of relentless work & faith in himself.”
That photo has gone viral again in the wake of Minshew’s Pro Bowl accomplishment.

“Love this,” college football insider Bruce Feldman wrote.
“And this is why I’m such a big fan. He wasn’t naturally gifted the speed, or power or height of some other QB’s and built on it, he has had to work at everything and earn every step of it! He has experienced a Superbowl and is now a pro bowler, and he has EARNED it!” another user wrote.
“Thank you and the whole staff. Changed his life,” a third user wrote.
Minshew Mania will be running wild at the Pro Bowl Games this weekend.
