Travis and Jason Kelce on the Lou Anarumo firing:
“I don’t know what the f–k is going on over there.”

In Lou Anarumo, the #Colts are getting a different style of defensive coordinator than they’ve had in the past. Expect a more aggressive, exotic defense moving forward. pic.twitter.com/3xsqqj35lW

I like the Lou Anarumo hire overall. Clearly a Shane Steichen hire with how thorough Anarumo is in his game planning and preparation.
Has his work cut out for him in Indy but I’m excited to see a non static defense that mixes coverages a bit lol

Lou Anarumo was a top target around the league by teams and some head coaching candidates as well. Really great get by Shane. https://t.co/jW5vMAzFgq

Since Lou Anarumo was the DC in Cincinnati, outside CB’s who played than 60% of the snaps:
– Only one has been under 6’0 (he was 5’11)
– Only two have been below 195 lbs (both saw roles decrease or not retained)
– All but one ran a 4.43 or better

My initial thoughts: The #Colts wanted to move in a different direction after not retaining Gus Bradley, and they certainly did with Lou Anarumo. The former #Bengals DC is known for being one of the most adaptable coordinators in the NFL. Should bring some fresh ideas to Indy. https://t.co/LmGXb07YIH

Anarumo was one of the top available names on the DC cycle, known for his aggressive nature and a chameleon with his scheme.

Losing Jessie Bates III, Chidobe Awuzie, & DJ Reader was huge blows, as well as Eli Apple.
