The Indianapolis Colts (5-7) travel to a familiar ‘House of Horrors,’ Gillette Stadium, where the Horseshoe hasn’t won since November of 2006.
Both franchises are far removed from both the ‘Peyton Manning – Tom Brady’ rivalry in both strong personalities and consistent winning results. Just like their former Midwestern arch rival, the Patriots (at 3-9) have fallen off on a lot harder of times here as of late.
The Patriots are now led by rookie quarterback Drake Maye, the former 3rd overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft, and may be looking at a Top 5 pick yet again to conclude 2024.
Meanwhile, although they’re on the outside, looking in, the Colts are still hoping to make the playoffs and have a pretty favorable slate of opponents to finish out the season.
This road matchup against the Patriots isn’t one that the Colts can afford to lose if they’re hoping to keep their postseason hopes alive down the final stretch.
