Biggest regular season game to close off the season
And we close off the 2024-25 NFL regular season with perhaps the biggest game of the year so far, with the #1 seed for the NFC conference at play tonight, while the loser will drop all the way to #5. This game will be the difference between having a bye week and playing all playoff games at home, or going on the road for the wild card round. The Lions (- 152) host the Vikings (+ 128) on a must watch game, with the home team currently favoured by 3-points, and the OU at 56.5.
The Vikings survived a 4th quarter comeback attempt by the Green Bay Packers. Quarterback Sam Darnold threw for three touchdowns, while the defense held the Packers’ offense under 300 total net yards, as the Vikes continue just finding ways to win games. Watching Darnold’s resurgence after rookie J.J. McCarthy went down with a knee injury before the first regular season game has been one of the best stories of the year.
The Lions used a dominant second half to help beat the pesky Niners, who made it interesting during the first half. What I like the most about the team is how they have not missed a step even without their best defensive player in Aidan Hutchinson, and running back David Montgomery.
Overall, I think that this is going to be a really close one and it is really difficult to predict who will end out on top, as they are both really evenly matched. No matter who wins, there is a lot at stake tonight for both teams so this one is definitely worth tuning into.
